The 2-year-old baby which died due to respiratory problem at a private hospital at Vijayapur on Aug 20, was detected as positive of COVID-19. The report of the test which reached the district administration on Wednesday confirmed about the infection.

The RT-PCR report was stated the baby was negative, however, had the festures of Corona Virus, the case would be considered as positive, Vijayapur DC P Sunilkumar said.

There were chances of baby survival if tested much before and treated in time.
