Total 25 wards are there at the limits of this Metropolitan Corporation. Since 14 months the wards don’t have any members to whom people can appeal about their difficulties. People are requesting for the elections of these wards.

Yes, the wards of Vijaypur Metropolitan Corporation have no members to whom the public can report their difficulties. The period of the previous members has been ended since 14 months yet the elections haven’t been conducted for the appointment of new members, and even though the problems have been brought into the notice of the officials they aren’t responding properly. The members are knocking the doors of old members due to this all, the old members though not at power are helping the public in the ways possible and are pleading the govt. to look after the elections.

The members of the wards appealed the Kalburgi court previously as the division of wards hadn’t took place properly as some had large number of people and some had very least. The officials of the corporation divided the wards as per the court orders and reported the govt. but the govt. hasn’t responded to it. The officials of the corporation said we have done our work and now its govt’s turn said the officials.

The Vijapur wards are facing too many problems like heavily damaged roads drainages and many other we hope the govt. responds to it and soon conducts the elections.
