Kiting always delights as it feels as if one is touching the skies. Kiting is not just a play for the small children but is also a kind of sports for the adults.

The adults fly their kites sky high and try to cut the other kites by knotting their threads and cutting the thread of the opponents. The game while playing seems so much fun but is similarly dangerous as the thread used to tie the kite named Manja will be as sharp as it can cut the layers of skin. Many a times the cut kites along with their sharp threads come into the contacts of the passersby and hurt them.

At Belagavi Gandhi Nagar is a locality which is so close to the National Highway and whenever someone tries to fly the kite it passes over the highway. Saturday when a boy named Rahul Rajgolkar was passing by the Gandhi Nagar Bridge suddenly a manja thread has got stuck into his neck cutting little sharply it made him fall down from his vehicle by which he got some other injuries as well. He was taken to the nearby hospital and the people around the area said these type of incidents take place many times over there and once a photographer named Vishwanath Desai was severely injured by the same accident.
