On 22/09/2020 the Belagavi Dist. Cement Dealers Association members gathered in front of the DC office and submitted memo to the consulted officer about their appeal.

Speaking by the time the President of the Ass. said the rate of the cement has been increased unnecessarily by the companies during and after the lockdown by average 25% of the bag thereby exploiting the consumers. The companies asked the dealers to sell the cement at the reduced rate than the purchased rate that they have bought, assuring as they will reimburse the amount which the dealers have reduced. He further said the huge working capital which is taken by the way of loan and the borrowing has been blocked as the companies haven’t reimbursed the amount even after 5-6 months due to which the dealers are unable to pay wages, salaries, and loans and even to run their families.

The dealers said as a mark of protest against this great financial crisis they will be protesting by the closure of their business for uncertain days. They appealed to look after the issue and asked for the allowance of the protest of closure of their business.
