A big relief has been provided to the Belagavi residents that have been suffering from the issues of water supply. With the establishment of new pump house at Hidkal Dam and two other places the water supply issues have been resolved and from tomorrow the residents will be receiving smooth and uninterrupted water supply.

Today on 12/11/2020 the North MLA has visited the Hidkal Dam and inspected new pumps that have been installed at the pump house accompanied by the officials of the water department.

Speaking to the medias the North MLA Anil Benake said lack of proper water supply has been a perennial problem for the residents of Belagavi. Hence, today inspected Basavankolla water pumping Station with concerned officers and advised to uplift the water at night time and supply the water in day time to reduce the period of water supply.

He added as due to new pump fitting at Hidkal Dam the water supply to Belagavi city had been stopped for a week, today water supply department officials and myself have resolved the problem and from tomorrow the residents will be receiving uninterrupted water supply.
