The Election Commission started nomination paper accepting centers at five different areas in the town.

Nomination papers can be filed at Vishveshwaraih Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Main Administrative office of the Corporation, Konwal Galli, and at Goaves Corporation Complex. Aug 23 is the last date to file and Aug 26 is the date to withdraw the nominations. The election will be held on Sept 3 and counting of votes will be done on Sept 6. The process to file the nomination commenced on Monday, Aug 16.
