Basavaraj Bommai in his first ever meeting at Suvarna Vidhan Soudha at Belagavi after becoming the head of the government on Saturday, Aug 21, announced of conducting the Legislative Winter Session at the soudha in December and also asdured of Keeping the mega administrative structure at north Karnataka busy throughout by shifting a few secretariats.

Speaking to news persons at the soudha he said he would soon shift the Sugar Commissionerate to the soudha and other important Secretariats shortly.

On handling the COVID-19 situation, he said all appropriate action is being taken to prevent spreading the pandemic. Apart from the existed, 10 more Oxygen Generating plants would be established in 20 days.

To get COVID test reports early, RT-PCR unit started functioning at Chikkodi town and another unit would soon come-up at Gokak town in Belagavi distruct.

Belagavi district which is being isdued 25,000 unit dose of COVID-19 vaccine would be raised to 40,000 unit per day. Centre has been asked to provide 1 crore unit of vaccine.
