Karnataka HC Fires Govt for Reopening Schools Without Text Books

The Karnataka High Court Bengaluru on Tuesday, Aug 24, took Karnataka government to task for reopening the schools without prior “Educational Preparations.” The court asked the government how you reopened the schools without issuing the textbooks to students, is there any meaning for it, the court asked.

The court which took the government to file asked how could you start the fresh academic without the the textbooks and has instructed to issue the textbooks books before Aug 30.

The government, after about 18-months of closure of primary and secondary education, due to COVID pandemic, reopened the schools from Aug 23.
