MES Suspects Irregularities, Urges Re-election to BCC

Suspecting malpractice in the recently held election to Belagavi City Corporation, the anti-Karnataka organisation Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) which badly defeated  in the election urged the Election Commission to conduct again the election by using the VVPATS.

A delegation of MES headed by Shubham Shilke submitted a memorandum to DC MG Hiremath at his residence on Monday night has suspected irregularities and misutilisation of power by the Karnataka government in the election. In-spite demanded the VVPATS were not used which has led to the doubts.

Not only the candidates even the voters claiming that their votes were not registered to the candidates whom they voted. They would have acknowledged if the VVPATS were afixed to the EVMs. “Our candidates were voted good, but votes were not fixed to their accounts, Result could be changed in  VVPATS were afixed to EVMs” MES said and urged for re-election.
