KPCC Working President, MLA Satish Jarkiholi said his party would not suffered a setback in the election to Belagavi civic body as it won the seats as it expected.

Speaking to newspersons at party office at Belagavi on Wednesday, he said there were chances of winning three in the south and five seats in north assembly constituencies. If there was coordination among the local leaders would have won at least five more seats. The party’s target was 15. However, five independents are with the party.

He said BJP was benefitted with the internal dispute of Marathis and MES, he said. BJP was celebrating victory as if won the Lokasabha election, it just utilized the benefit of the occasion.
