Two workers were killed on the spot when they stuck in a garbage pressing vehicle at Garbage Treatment Plant, outskirt of Vijayapur town on Wednesday.

The names of the deceased and how the incident was occurred was yet to be detected. The treatment plant is said to be maintained by a private agency and the workers were appointed on contract basis.

The Vijayapur City Corporation used dump garbage collected in the plant. The APMC police have registered a case.
