As the Weather department predicted rains till Sept 15, the Karnataka government has announced ‘Yellow Alert’ in Karwar, Mangaluru, Chikkamagaluru, Udupi, Hassan, Kodagu and Shivamogga districts.

The department said rain would continue till Sept 15 due to low air pressure in Bay of Bengal. Almost entire state was getting light and medium rain since a few days whereas it was high in seven districts which have been declared ‘Yellow Alert.’
