Six people – two women and four men – were killed and eight others travelling in a jeep injured when their vehicle was collided with a canter near Madinayakanahalli village in Chintamani taluk of Chikkaballapur district on Sunday.

Maluru MLA KY Nanjegowda who was travelling through the same way helped to shift the injured to the government hospital at Kolar. The injured patients were shifted to hospital in ‘Zero Traffic.’

There were two children travelling in the ill fated jeep. Chikkaballapur SP G J Mithun, Srinivaspur MLA Ramesh Kumar visited the site of the accident.
