To make way to their carrier in politics, KPCC Working President Satish Jarkiholi has decided to give up his Yamakanamaradi assembly constituency either to his son Rahul or daughter Priyanka who contest in the next election.

At a programme organised to celebrate his son Rahul’s birthday at Karaguppi village in Hukkeri taluk in his Yamakanamaradi constituency on Sunday, Satish said both of his children identified themselves in social work and wanted to enter into the politics. “Rahul is much interested in contesting the election for which I give him my constituency, if not he, my daughter will contest from the contest and I will contest from Belagavi Lokasabha constituency in next election”, he said.

He said he had told his children to be with people, know their problems before entering to the active politics, accordingly they are in social work, mainly with youths since a year and are now interested in vote politics.

Satish Jarkiholi who unsuccessfully contested in the Belagavi Lokasabha by-polls to BJP’s Mangala Angadi had given her tough competition and lost by about 10,000 votes.
