The incident of burglary occurred at a block of an apartment at Guruprasad nagar on Mandolli road came to light on Sunday as the owner of the house who was out of station for a day returned today.

Businessman Pavankumar Jain locked his flat and been to Mumbai on Saturday and returned on Sunday, by than the burglary occurred. Burglars gained entry into the house by removing the lock of the door with duplicate key and than opened the steel cupboard where they made away cash of Rs 5 lakh and jewelry worth Rs 2 lakh.

Pavankumar has lodged a complaint with Belagavi Rural police.
