Demanding the government to issue the paper documentation also in Marathi language and to get protected the rights of the linguistic minorities, the anti-state organisation Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) held a procession to Deputy Commissinor’s office on Monday.

The activists gathered at Bogarves circle and marched to the deputy commissioner’s
office and submitted a memorandum to Additional DC Ashok Dudagunti demands including the Kannada flag in front of the city corporation administration office be removed, else a ‘Bhagawa’ (saffon colour) flag would be hoisted atop the office of the corporation. The Kannada flag was hoisted illegally.The organisation said it would never debate on the matter with the government in feature and will fight to get protected the interest of the Marathas in the state. Karnataka doing injustice to Marathis in the state forcing them to learn the language by making compulsory and dealing only in that language.
