The Home Department has handed over the case of malpracticing at the examination of Civil Police to CID.

Two candidates allegedly used advanced technological equipment to copy in the examination held at Ramthirth nagar in Belagavi on last Oct 24. The candidates were said to be used Bluetooth to copy.

Police took 12 people into their custody from whom 33 cellphones, 9 Master Card divice 13 Bluetooth, 3 Tabs and a Laptop were recovered. Police suspected a few from the department helped the candidates to copy in the examination.
