Belgaumites have one more reason to be proud as KS Hemalekha who is the one among the three took oath as Justices to Karnataka High Court is from Belagavi completed schooling in Divine Providence, graduation at Gogte College of Commerce and Law course in RL Law college (Raja Lakhamagouda).
Two other additional justices took oath with Hemalekha are Justices Anant Ramanath Hegde and S Rachaiah – on Nov 8, 2021.
Born to Late Sreedharan who was in Airforce and Late Chandramati a housewife on Sept 28, 1975, Hemalekha passed SSLC from Divine Providence Convent School, Belagavi in the year 1990, completed graduation from Gogte College of Commerce, Belagavi in the year 1996 and Law Degree from Raja Lakhamgouda Law College, Belagavi in the year 1999.
Hemalekha was also awarded with – Student of Indian Classical Dance and practiced Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and folk Dance forms since she was 6 year and completed 2 exams in the field of dance.
Enrolled as an advocate on 31st July 1999, Hemalekha practiced as an advocate with Adv Ashok M Potdar in 1999-2000 and at Karnataka High Court at Bengaluru with Adv G Balakrishna Shastry from 2000 to 2008.
She established an independent office and practiced as an advocate in High Court of Karnataka, Dharwad Bench in 2008.
