Bengaluru : The weather forecasting department alerted heavy rains in the state till Nov 23 for which the state government declared high alert in 11 districts and red alert in coastal districts.

Many district administrations have declared holiday for the educational institutions on Saturday. There were many untoward incidents like house collapse, fall of trees, road block due to water logging etc reported in many parts of the state.

Following forecast report that the district to get heavy rains also on Saturday (Sept 20), the government declared holiday for educational institutions at Dharwad.
