The fishermen at Malpe got a bumper as the rarest fish which they fished on Wednesday was auctioned for Rs 1.80 lakh which is highest rate in recent days. Locally called “Gooli Fish” it is being called as “Pool Fish”.

Fishermen been for fishing in a boat belonging to Shanraj from Totam in Malpe in Udupi district where they netted for the rarest fish. weighing 20kg.

Weighing 20 kg, the fish at auction was sold at the rate of Rs 9,060 per kg. The fish was known as medicine for diseases like diabetes, asthama for which it was sold for the highest rate.
