Belagavi : The joint union of farmers’ has urged the government to take back all the anti-farmer laws else would stage indefinite stir before Suvarna Soudha during the Legislator Session.
Speaking to news persons at Belagavi on Thursday, farmer leader Kodihalli Chandrashekhar said the Yeddyurappa led government brought an Amendment to the Land Reforms Act 1961, and to the APMC Act in 2020. More than 11,000 cases which were in court were taken back illegally by aboloshing 71A and 71B of Illegal land grabbing
Bommai who was a minister in Yeddyurappa government when the Bills were amended is CM now who must rollback anti-farmer Bills, else farmers agitate against the government during session.
He said farmers will soon apply for permission to protest with police.
