The business bandh call given by Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti to protest against blackening its leader Deepak Dalavi by Kannada activists got poor response in Belagavi city while mix response in Marathi dominated villages in Belagavi taluk.

Public and vehicular movement undisrupted and other functionaries going normally. Few commercial set ups at Khade Bazaar, Ganapati galli, Samadevi galli in Belagavi and Khade Bazaar in Shahapur closed while Yellur, Kangrali Khurdh and Kangrali Budruk, Deshur, Belagundi, Sulaga, Ambewadi, Mannur, Uchagoan, Vaghavade were closed.

Heavy police bandobasth has been deployed in the city and villages. Deepak Dalavi’s face was blackened for his anti-stand against Karnataka and for organising a convention against the ongoing Legislature Session in Belagavi on Monday.
