As announced ‘Karnataka Bandh’ on Dec 31 without its consultion, many Kannada organisations in Belagavi decided not to support the bandh.

The Kannada Organisations’ Action Committee which is against the bandh is expected to announce its decision on Tuesday, Dec 28.

The Kannadigas in north Karnataka especially from Belagavi felt many embracement moment with Vatal Nagaraj’s ‘Karnataka Bandh’ calls. Even for silly matters he give bandh call from Bengaluru without consulting the Kannada organisations of the state. His ‘bandhs’ lost meaning and police, administration wouldn’t take serious. His ‘bandh’, ‘gheraos’ being enjoyed as jokes, he might have taken the Kannadigas as granted for him thinking they would follow his orders, said a Kannada worker.

While, faction of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike has extended its support. Nagaraj announced the bandh demanding ban of Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti in the state.
