Two college students from Belagavi been to picnic drowned in the rivers on Sunday.

17-year-old Akshaya Gurusiddappa Kotagi from Hosur village with his friends been to swim at Malaprabha river at Belavalkop village in Savadatti taluk drowned.

In another incident, Hardik Praveen Pammar studying in the 8th semester in civil engineering discipline in SG Balekundri Institute of Engineering and Technology has drowned in the Tilari dam in the border of Maharashtra.

Hailed from Goa, Hardik despite knew swimming coukd not assessed the depth of the water and drowned in the deep water zone.
