Yesterday on 1st October the Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were detained to meet the parents of the Hathras gang rape victim whilst the brawl between the police and the leaders Rahul Gandhi was pushed to ground by the police. Today the U.P. police have a continued their oppression by pushing down the Trinamool Congress MP Derek O’Brien.
According to the sources the Trinamool Congress MP Derek O’Brien who was on his way today to Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras to meet the parents of the gang rape victim has been detained by the U.P. Police and has been pushed to the ground in a confrontation with police when he and three other party leaders tried to enter the village.
Now the question rises as how apt this act is at the time of 151st Birth anniversary of the man well known for the peace and non-violence, Mahatma Gandhi.
