Amid the instructions cancelling the system of giving the “Guard of Honour” to him, the police at Vijayapur and Belagavi gave the honour to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai at his visits on Saturday, Aug 21.

Arrived first time after becoming the chief minister to both the districts, Bommai was given the “Guard of Honour” by the police department on the premises of the Alamatti Reservoir at Nidagundi taluk of Vijayapur after he submitted a ‘Bhagina’ to the dam.

While, he was given the honour on the premises of the Suvarna Vidhan Soudha at Belagavi by Belagavi police.

The chief minister has instructed the police department to cancel giving the “Guard of Honour” to him to avoid time and wastage of human hour. Since violated the norms, the chief minister asked the IGP of northern range N Satishkumar to instruct his subordinates to follow the instructions on the the matter.
