As many as nomination papers submitted to contest the election to Belagavi City Corporation were rejected for various reasons. With the rejection, 468 candidates are in the field.

Thursday, Aug 25, is the last day to withdraw the nominations. A total 21 candidates are in the field at ward number 4,
while ward numbers 21 and 26 to witness direct contest with two each candidates.
