Soon after the first list 21 candidates for Belagavi City Corporation was released by BJP, an activist from ward number 35 whose sister was not given ticket said that he would field his sister as rebel in the election.

BJP Belagavi South and North MLAs Abhay Patil and Anil Benake, respectively released the list to the media, party activist Datta Bilawar got angered for not giving ticket to his sister Bharati Santosh and said he would field his sister as rebel.

He said MLA Abhay Patil on Sunday, Aug 22, morning had assured of giving ticket to his sister. He said he was a loyal worker of the party, but couldn’t get s ticket to his family members. The ticket has been given to Laxmi Rathod.
