The Kannada Organisations have urged the political parties contesting for the Belagavi City Corporation election not to join hands with anti-Karnataka organisation Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti at any cost to be in the power.

Speaking to news conference at Belagavi on Friday, Aug 27, Kannada Organisation’s Action Committee President Ashok Chandaragi said that all the political parties, in case if not get clear majority should not get alliance with the samiti.

He said the political parties should not claim that the border dispute is in court and there was nothing wrong of joining hands with that organisation.

The organisations urged the Kannadigas to vote for the Kannada linguistic candidate and ensure no bifurcation of votes which could benefit to anti-Karnataka organisation.
