Government is expected to conduct the mayoral polls of Belagavi City Corporation on Jan 11.

The mayor post is reserved for male and the deputy mayor post to women. BJP ha won 35 of total 58 member body. The mayor and deputy posts could go to the candidates from Belagavi South as it has won 25 seats from the constituency.
