About 50 police teams inspected more than a hundred lodges in Belagavi Commissionerate area and varified the guestsl register book, rooms on Saturday night. It was said to inspection was to avoid illegal activities in the lodge and also operating from the lodges.

The teams which were headed by senior police officials instructed the owners, management to install CC cameras, collect the copies of the identity cards of the guests, maintain guests’ register book, ensure no illegal activities and be in touch with police, inform them about the suspecious guests.

The teams also inspected the guestrooms. DCP Vikram Amte under whose direction the inspections were conducted said the inspection would continue
