A CISF Soldier from Belagavi district who was deployed to election duty at Chandouli district in Uttar Pradesh died on Monday.

43-year-old Soldier Navant Appasaheb Divate from Kurli village in Nippani taluk was the deceased. The primary assumption said the soldier might have died due to cardiac arrest. He felt uneasiness while on duty on the last day of the seven-phase election of Uttar Pradesh and was rushed to the district hospital where he was declared brought dead.

His family at Kurli has been informed about the tragedy. His battalion is waiting for post mortem report.
