After election to Belagavi City Corporation was declared, BJP seemed electrified as its workers and leaders enthusiasts with the overconfidence of seeing the party flag on the administrative office after the election.

Belagavi South and North BJP MLAs Abhay Patil and Anil Benake, respectively, said that thousands aspired to contest from the party and expressed confidence of winning more than 45 seats in 58-seat Corporation.

While, Congress has not yet decided to contest the election on party symbol or not. The city corporation which earlier witness the election on language base would go for the polls on party symbol this time.
