The final official result to Belagavi City Corporation was declared out on Monday evening. BJP won at 35 wards, Congress at 10, AIMAM in 1 and Independents won in 12 places of 58-member body.

Briefing about the out coming of the election, DC MG Hiremath said the Mayor post has been reserved for SC woman and Deputy post to general category. The Urban Development Authority will decide about the date of the mayoral polls.
