BJP worker Asha Shetty ended her life by hanging to the ceiling of her house at Kukkikatte in Udupi on Thursday. In her death note she had appealed her family to donate her body organs after her death.

Depressed with the untimely demise of her son, Asha spoke for a long time with her married daughter before ending her life.

As per her wish, after completing the police procedure at government hospital, her body was taken to Manipal hospital where her eyes were taken and handed over back the body to the family.

Apart from her political activities, Asha was active in “Tulukoota” organisation.
