Belagavi : BJP worker Kirankumar Patil died due to cardiac arrest at his house at Nandgav in Athani taluk on Friday. He was 59.

Engaged in social work, Patil unsuccessfully contested assembly elections from Athani and Kagwad constituencies from Congress and joined BJP with MLA Mahesh Kumatolli during last general assembly election.
