Basavaraj Bommai assumed office as the Chief Minister of the State, at s function arranged at Glass House at Rajbhavan at 11am on Wednesday, July 28. Karnataka Governor Thaavarchand Gehlot administered the oath. Bommai took the oath in God’s name, the ceremony ended in just about ten minutes. Former CM BS Yeddyurappa wished the new CM.Graduated in Mechanical engineering, 61-year-old Bommai is the 30th CM of the state.
