MB Boralingaiah has assumed charge as Belagavi Police Commissioner on Saturday afternoon.

T Tyagarajan who has been transferred to Bengaluru as Director General of Police handed over the charge to Boralingaiah.

Despite controlled law and order situation in many critical situation, Tyagarajan was said to be failed allegedly in handling the clash between Kannada and pro-Maharashtrians clashes on the inaugural day of the Legislative Session which Belagavi South BJP MLA Abhay Patil raised in the session might have caused for his posting.
