After Social Worker Bhimappa Gadad filed a complaint with Anti Corruption Bureau against former minister, Nippani BJP MLA Shashikala Jolley about allegedly demanding bribe to allot contract to supply eggs to children and pregnant, an advocate from Chikkodi Surendra Ugare also filed the same complaint with Belagavi Lokayukta.

Adv Ugare, keeping base the Sting Operatoon of a Kannada news channel in which the former minister Shashikala and three others caught has stated that the latter sent the people approached to as from agg supplying agency and asked to favour them in clearing their tender form sent them to meet Gangawati BJP MLA Paranna Munavalli who said to be told them their work would be done if given Rs 1crore to the then minister and Rs 30lakh to him every month as bribe and took a gold ring from them.

Sanjay Arage and Prashant Ghatage who were said to be the PAs of Shashikala took the “egg dealers” to MLA Munavalli were also booked in the case. Arage, on behalf of Shashikala, said to be collected Rs 30lakh as advance.
