A terrible incident of a man losing his life by drowning in the Halotri brook has taken place today. Just a few days before two boys had drowned in the same brook.

It is said as the incident has taken place while he had gone to swim yesterday evening at the Halotri brook that is by the road of Hemmadaga at the outskirts of Khanapur.

The victim is identified as the resident of Vadagaon namely Manjunath Mallikarjun Satpute and was working as an X-Ray technician at a private hospital. The man had been with his friends and family members on a shirt picnic and while after the lunch when everyone else was resting had went into the water.

When he slipped into the water and was struggling to life as he didn’t knew swimming his friends have tried a lot to rescue him but have failed. After that with the information of the incident the firefighter team has rushed to the site but till they reach the man had already lost his life.

The dead body after the post mortem has been handed to the family and the case regarding this has been registered at the Khanapur Police Station.
