Three people were killed on the spot when their tell wheelers were dashed by a speeding car near Bysli Basavanna temple at Lolasur in Gokak taluk on Wednesday, Aug 18.

The speeding car which was said to be by sn intoxicated driver dashed two 2-wheelers and got overturned and fell in the ditch beside the road. The accident was so serious that the legs of the trio killed were cut separed from the body.

Siddappa Pundalik Mannikeri and his daughter Shamala Suresh Shivapur were the two deceased identified yet. Shamala was pregnant. The driver fled the spot after the mishap.

The Ghataprabha police have registered a case.
