A Swift car speeding from Belgaum towards Udyambag this afternoon has overturned near the Panchamrut Hotel this afternoon. The incident took place as one of the tires of the car suddenly burst and the driver lost control over the car.

Fortunately, no one has been seriously injured in the accident, but the car has been massively damaged. The locals alleged as the Belgaum-Khanapur road is heavily congested. At the time of the above accident, the oncoming drivers brought the speed of their vehicles under control keeping in view the situation, thus averting further calamity.

Although the Belgaum-Khanapur road from the third railway gate has been widened, the Swift car overturned, causing a slight obstruction to traffic on the route.  According to eyewitnesses, the car overturned near State Bank near the Panchamrut Hotel.
