Belagavi : The Sugar Commissionerate will start functioning at Suvarna Vidhan Soudha either on Oct 1 or 3.At the telephonic conversation with farmers agitated on the premises of deputy commission on Saturday, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai told about shifting the commissionerate, would instruct the sugar factories to clear the cane supplied bills to farmers and instruct the deputy commissioners to pay the rain, flood harm compensation and special package in this regard.

Farmer leader Chunappa Pujari who had called the CM had kept the speaker on and hold a mike to it by which the agitating farmers heard what the latter was told.

Pujari had appealed the CM, who will tour the district for two days on Sunday and Monday, gave half an hour time to meet the ten-member delegation on Sunday morning.
