Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will inaugurate e-Liabrary named after patriotic Ravindra Kaushik, at Bank of India circle in Shahapur on Sunday, Sept 26.

At a news conference at library premises on Saturday, Belagavi South BJP MLA Abhay Patil said family members of Kaushik have been invited to the programme who would be felicitated.

The e-Library has been established in Rs 2.5 crore where people browse in Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, Urdu and in English languages, the library would become a model to the world, he said.

Specality of the Library

The library would hsve two trained staff, 23 desktops and 5 tablets for children. There would be 5,000 books which could be downloaded in cellphones or computers by any number. People can find the books also in Belagavi Smart City e-Liabrary Application, even can become members by paying fees of Rs 50 to Rs 60.

e-Liabrary Manager Srinivas K said that books for competitive examination and artificial knowledge books for children would be available in the library. Not only inside but the books inside the library could also be read, downloaded in the 300 metre radius to the library with the installation of WiFi connection. Sixty people at a time can read, download the books at a time in the three storied building.
