From time to time news is being published regarding the plight of stray animals in Belgaum suburban area. In that, mainly in Wadgaon, Shahapur, Bharatnagar, Old Belgaum and Angol areas, the pig satellite has been a nuisance to the citizens since a long time.

In regards to all this confined place has been constructed at the Ganikoppa by a contractor of cleaning Yallappa Gollar at his yard and all the pigs and the piglets have been carried to the place confined to them and the wastages of the hotels is being carried as a food for them.

Yallappa Gollar has a contract to clean some wards in the city while the other staff of the corporation is collecting garbage, Gollar has suggested that the food from the hotel or house to be separated and packed in plastic containers to be carried to the pigs.

Yalappa Gollar till now has brought more than 50 stray pigs from Shahapur Bharat Nagar to his land near Ganikoppa. This has reduced the incidence of pigs in Bharat Nagar area.
