Court Acquits KRV Activists on Charges of Attacking Mayor Chamber

Belagavi : The IVth JMFC Court at Belagavi on Wednesday acquitted all the 40 activists of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Narayan Gowda faction) on charges of attacking and ransacking the offices of mayor and deputy mayor of Belagavi City Corporation in 2011.

The police arrested and framed the charges against the activists including organisation president Mahadev Talwar, Ganesh Rokade that they ransacked the offices for tha than mayor and deputy mayor for taking part in the ‘Black Day’ rally observed by anti-state organisation Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti and Shivasena in 2011.

The court acquitted the activists stating that there were no sufficient proofs, witnessess to prove the charges.
