The Covid-19 Material worth 52L were transferred by the Lions club to the KLE hospital that were donated by the TATA Education and Development Trust at Belagavi.
At the function organized in the centenary convention hall of the KLE the materials worth 52L that included the PPE kit, N-95 Masks and some other materials that were donated by the TATA Education and Development Trust were transferred to the KLE by Lions Club in the presence of the DC M G Hiremath.
Speaking at the time the DC said the Lions Club has been subsequently performing social works. Now it has handed over the Covid-19 Kits donated by the TATA Trust to KLE. He added as it would have been so fine if the same would have been donated to the Govt. Hospital.
Speaking further he said in the dist. 24,500 cases had been noticed as positive out of which 24,000 have been cured and 500 active cases are there in the covid care centres. Though the number of the cases are reducing the public shouldn’t be careless as the corona is gone. He added as the precautionary measures of wearing the masks and maintaining the social distance should be continued.
