Vijayapur : As a crack was found to the bridge across the Doni river near Talikoti in Vijayapur district, the government banned public movement on the bridge from Tuesday.

Engineers from Bengaluru and Delhi are expected to arrive today to varify the crack. The cement plaster on the lift side down of the bridge was clearly seen fallen, the cracks could not be visible.

While, the officials are repairing the old bridge across the river for public convenient. The old bridgeis strong enough, however, the new one was constructed with more height. Both the bridges were used when water level was low.
