A similar incident dealt with ‘Nirbhaya of Delhi’ in 2012 which stunned the entire nation, has repeated at Mumbai on last Friday, where in a barbaric incident a woman was raped and was inserted a rod in her private parts that occurred in a tempo in Saki Naka area.

The 32-year-old woman was raped by a man, who assaulted her with the rod. Police have arrested one man while they suspect more people could have been involved in the crime.

The incident took place at Khairani Road in Saki Naka area of Mumbai. The DCP and Additional Commissioner of Police have reached the spot while a further probe is on.

According to Mumbai Police, they received a call on main control room at 3.30 am about a woman lying unconscious in a pool of blood at Khairani Road in Saki Naka.

“Police reached the spot and rushed her to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar. Condition of woman is said to be extremely critical,” police said. The latest report said the victim breathed her last.

A Para- Medical student was raped by a gang at the moving bus and later was inserted a rod in her private part in 2012. After being treated her in the nation she was shifted to Singapore for better treatment where she died. The incident had rocked the nation demanding the utter punishment to the accused. One among the rapist got suicide in the jail, one freed after a few years in jail as he was under age when the incident took place and rest four were hanged to death at Tihar jail at Delhi.
