Demanding for the grants for private schools and the fulfillment of various appeals a protest was held at Belagavi.

For the fulfillment of various appeals including the grants for the Kannada Medium Schools after 1995 and to withdraw the national pension scheme a protest was held by the Karnataka State Private School and College Management and Teacher’s Union leaders at Belagavi DC Office premises, and a memo was issued to the govt. through the DC.

The CM must take actions rapidly to provide grants to the Kannada Schools and Colleges started from 1995. Basavaraj Horatti’s reports should be enforced for the hike of fictitious salary. Jyoti Sanjivini Scheme should be expanded to schools staff, imposed financial thrift for the recruitment of the vacant posted must be taken back. Appealing about the above requests the protest was held by the union’s leaders and a memo regarding that was issued.

Speaking by the time the dist. president of the Karnataka State Private School and College Management and Teacher’s Union S S Mathad said previously the CM B S Yadiyurappa issued orders undertaking 2448 private schools till 1995 to the grants by which not become beneficial to the 23,000 teachers but also for the development of the Kannada Schools.

He further said for now the protest are being held under the guidance of MLC Basavarj Horatti and appealed as the govt. should look after the fulfillment of the legitimate demands.
